Toolbox

I don’t know about you, but I need tools, and plenty of them. Maybe it goes back to my former life as a construction manager, maybe it is the artist in me, I can’t be sure. But I love toolboxes and everything that can be found within them.

This section is for you, and to be honest, probably for me on some days! It contains many of the tools I use on any given day, and I hope they will be of some value to you, too. You will find a wide selection of mechanisms to assist you in coping, learning and growing as you walk through the world.

Here you will find recordings, writings, and various and sundry web sites – all places that bring comfort to, teach or intrigue me. They all add to my life on good days and the challenging ones, as well. I hope you will find both solace and inspiration in these offerings.

~Christa

NOTE: EVERYTHING IS LISTED IN NO PARTICULAR ORDER, I RECEIVE NO COMPENSATION OR INCENTIVES (UNLESS OTHERWISE NOTED – MAYBE SOMEDAY!), AND I WILL CONTINUE TO ADD ITEMS AS MY BRAIN RECALL EBBS AND FLOWS! And I will add notes, telling you more, some day. Pretty soon, I hope.

WEB SITES

I hesitate to categorize these, as a “Mom site” might offer an incredible spiritual insight one day, or the gardening site might spark your photographer’s eye. Explore, have fun, see what’s out there…

PRACTICES

- If you would like to try yoga in the privacy of your own home, or just find a daily practice, look at Marianne’s site

- Tara Brach has free weeklypodcasts oniTunes- you can just subscribe by going to iTunesStore —Podcasts— Tara Brach. I listen to them in the car. If you do that, just don’t close your eyes when she says to!

- A simple walking practice – find a rhythm to your stride and match these words to your steps:

I am so blessed. I am such a blessing to the world.”

Repeat. Over and over. Not as easy as it sounds, at first.

- Write a daily gratitude list. Try this on your own, with a buddy, or on Belle’s site .

- If you would like a daily email to help you expand your horizons in a spiritual or creative sense, try any of these:

May I be happy, and know the root of happiness

May I be safe, from inner and outer harm

May my heart be full of love and peace

And may my life unfold with ease.

May they be happy, and know the root of happiness

May they be safe, from inner and outer harm

May their hearts be full of love and peace

May their lives unfold with ease.

May they be happy, and know the root of happiness

May they be safe, from inner and outer harm

May their hearts be full of love and peace

May their lives unfold with ease.

May all beings be happy, and know the root of happiness

May all beings be safe, from inner and outer harm

May the hearts of all beings be full of love and peace

May the lives of all beings unfold with ease.

Namaste.
